Groups

Temple Isaiah promotes Jewish culture and heritage through holiday celebrations, Israel-related programming, and Jewish education. The key component to engaging our congregation is providing wonderful opportunities for our community to participate and join groups that have been organized and sustained by members of our congregation.

Our Group Opportunities Include:


Am Tzedek: Isaians pursuing justice – Made up of a core team of Temple Isaiah members/lay leaders, Am Tzedek is the umbrella under which Isaiah does all types of justice work, partnering with OneLA and Reform California. read more


Isaiah Women – Isaiah Women (IW), our temple’s sisterhood, offers women various opportunities and programs to promote leadership, learn together, engage in social causes, and build relationships. read more


Isaiah Men’s Group – Isaiah Men’s Group (IMG) provides opportunities for male congregants to get more involved with the Temple and connect with other Isaiah members. read more


ChaiVillageLA – An innovative, new initiative that offers congregants the option to “age in place” — to live in the homes and communities we love as we grow older. read more


The Caring Community – The Caring Community is the way each of us can respond “Hineini,” here I am, by responding to the calls of fellow Temple members. read more


Family Philanthropy Club – The Family Philanthropy Club read more


Green Team – The Green Team focuses on education and advocating environmental issues, green activism, and creating green initiatives at Temple Isaiah and in the larger community. read more


PPA – The PPA is a parent-run group that provides support to all preschool parents. read more


RSPA – The Religious School Parent Association (RSPA) is the Religious School’s newest parent-led initiative. Founded in 2015, the RSPA will keep Religious School parents informed, connected and involved in the Religious School and Temple community. read more


TING – Temple Isaiah Business Networking Group (TING) was founded in 2005 by members of Temple Isaiah to help and support Jewish business professionals. read more


Chavurot – Temple Isaiah offers many opportunities for congregants to learn and socialize with one another. We encourage our members to build deeper relationships through Chavurot. read more

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Thanksgiving Market – PATH Beyond Shelter is a non-profit organization founded in 1988 in response to increasing numbers of homeless families in Los Angeles and the need for a more comprehensive approach to serving them.The Market provides 75 families with Thanksgiving meals assembled and packaged by students before the holiday begins. read more
  • Roots And Wings – Roots & Wings is a program that has connected University High School with mentors from Temple Isaiah since 2008. read more
  • SOVA – SOVA, a part of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles, provides free groceries and an array of supportive services to over 12,000 individuals of all ages, ethnicities, and religions each month. read more
