Selichot at Temple Isaiah

The Selichot service provides a spiritual gateway into the High Holy Days.  The prayers and music of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur are presented in this late evening service.

Saturday evening, September 4th, 7:30 p.m.

Our observance of Selichot- prayers and music that helps us usher in the High Holy Days- will begin with a reading of Debbie Pearl’s play “Fathers and Sons.”  This one act drama examines the relationships between three fathers, their sons, their prejudices and their attempts at reconciliation.

After the presentation we will continue with our service of Selichot.

The play stars such Hollywood notables as:

Michael Lerner (appearances  on MASH, The Odd Couple, Law and Order, Entourage, and the soon to be released “Atlas Shrugged.”

Erick Avari (appeared in “Law and Order”, “Heroes”, the films “The Mummy” and Independence Day” among many others)

Willie Carpenter (appearances include, “House, M.D.”, “The Unit”, NCIS” and Gillmore girls” and many, many more TV appearances

Ray Stoney (has appeared on “NCIS”, CSI”, “Cold Case” and in the film “Remember the Titans” as well as the soon to be released films “Burn Off” and “Fate.”

Asaaf Cohen has had recurring roles on “Weeds”, “24”, “Heroes”, “Entourage” and  the Academy Award winning “West Bank Story.”
